Point-of-sale systems taking card-present payments use a different API: the POS Gateway API.
The basics
- Address: every request goes to
https://api.paymentsmojo.com, over HTTPS. - JSON in and out (Requests and responses).
- Authentication: an API key, exchanged for a token that lasts 10 minutes.
- Lists come a page at a time (Pagination).
- Errors explain themselves in plain words (Errors).
Quick start
1
Create an API key
In the portal, an Owner or Admin opens Settings → API keys, names the key, ticks what it can do and selects
Create key. Copy the key id and secret: the secret is shown only once.
2
Get a token
3
Call the API
Next
- Authentication: keys, tokens and permissions.
- Invoices, Deposits, Payments and locations and Reseller portfolio: what each part of the API is for.
- The API reference lists every endpoint, its fields and its answers, and lets you try them.
