# Locations

> Your stores and sites, and the details customers see.

A **location** is a store, site or anywhere you take payments. Each one has its own address, contact details, time
zone and the MIDs (merchant IDs) it takes payments on.

## Adding a location

On **Locations**, give the new location a name and **Add location**. Open it afterwards to fill in the rest.

## A location's details

| Field | What it's for |
| - | - |
| Name | What your team calls it. |
| Name on receipts | Only if customers should see a different name on receipts and card statements. |
| Physical address | Where it is. Street, city, state and ZIP are needed together. |
| Phone, email | Optional contact details for the location. |
| Time zone | Decides where the location's days start and end in reports. |
| Status | Open, or closed when it no longer trades. |

## MIDs

Each location lists the MIDs it takes payments on and whether CardPointe has accepted their login. MIDs are added by
Mojo Payments in [Card Processing](/merchants/card-processing).

## Giving someone access to one location

A role can apply to one location only, for example a manager for a single store. Choose the location when you invite
them or change their roles on **Team**.
